I first started dying my hair bright colours in 2013. To start with I could only do it during the school holidays because you have to have natural coloured hair for school. Yawn. I’ve been through most of the colours on the wheel in my time, but not red or yellow.
I’m not going to go red or yellow either, I think those colours would NOT suit me at all. In October I went blue, after having natural coloured hair for a while to give my hair a rest - and this time I’ve gone purple and pink.
Coloured hair has become a trend over the last few years. When I started dying my hair it was strange, weird to see a girl with green and blue hair, she had to be an emo. I’ve had things thrown at me from car windows in the past because of it. Now, everyone and their nan has blue hair, it’s trendy. I have lots of people say to me that they’d love to colour their hair like I do but don’t think they could pull it off. You know what I say to that? Fuck it! Do it! You'll never know how good it’ll look if you don’t try it! And if for some reason you don’t like it, all you have to do is dye it again, easy peasy.
